Biographical Sketch:
Of German descent.Moved to Barry Co., MI with his parents at age 14. Went out on his own at 20. Taught school for 4 years; work in a railroad office for 1 year; 6.5 years in the Lumberman's National Bank of Muskegon and 8 years in mercanile positions. He eventually returned to farming, raising purebred sheep and swine. Active in national livestock shows and secretary of the Barry Co. Agricultural Society. According to House Resolution No. 17, 1944 House Journal, p. 67 he died 12/10/1943 in Hastings, Michigan.
