Biographical Sketch:
He came to Michigan with his parents, Robert Eugene and Denese (Pinard) Lemire, when he was 3 months old. Practiced medicine and surgery in: Garden, Delta county for 3 1/2 years; then moved to Escanaba. He was county physician for 7 years, then became surgeon at St. Francis Hospital, Escanaba. Served on the Escanaba board of education including 3 years as secretary and 2 years as board president. Elected and served as Mayor of Escanaba in 1912 and refused the nomination for a second term.

Notable Facts:
Cause of death was an accidental electrocution by an x-ray machine.
