Of Irish descent. Son of Dennis and Margaret A. Dacey. He served as athletic director for the city of Detroit. Assigned to the 14th ammunition train detachment of the 14th Div. at Camp Custer then field artillery training in Kentucky before being discharged when WWI ended.
