Biographical Sketch:
Born in Venice, Italy while parents were abroad; served in the U.S. Navy during WWI; member of House of Representives from Wayne County 4th District, 1925-1932;
Engaged as a newspaper man. Served one term as municipal judge for the city of River Rouge; was appointed legal adviser to the sheriff of Wayne county in 1926, and practiced law in Detroit. During the world war served as a gunners mate aboard a U.S. destroyer, and an lieutenant in the U.S. navel reserve forces. He is a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Order of Eastern Star, White Shrine of Jerusalem, K. of P., I.O.O.F., American Legion, V.F.W., and the Delta Theta Phi law fraternity.

Republican and was elected to the legislature in 1924 and 1926, and re-elected November 6, 1928, by a vote of 15,658 to 8,563 for Ernest B. Labadie, and again November 4, 1930,
