Biographical Sketch:
Son of Henry and Louise (Degne) DeClaire. He was employed by the Packard Motor Car Co., experimental division. He then worked for General Motors corporation, for 10 years in various capacities, terminated in the adminstrative research conducted by the vice-president. Served as township treasurer for 2 terms; elected township clerk and clerk of the newly incorporated village of St. Claire Shores. In 1926 he was appointed cashier of the Lake Shore state bank. He was a member of lodge No. 34, B.P.O.E.
