Biographical Sketch:
Son of Asahel and Elizabeth (Gilbert) Finch. After marrying in 1830, he migrated west and settled in Tecumseh, MI. He engaged in banking in Homer. Following 3 years as a merchant, he studied law, moving to Adrian, MI as a student, 1834. He served as a justice of the peace in Adrian. He was admitted to the bar in 1838 and moved to Milwaukee, WI in 1839. At the time of his death was a member of the oldest law firm at the Milwaukee bar.
