Biographical Sketch:
He was a member at First Baptist Church of Norway and taught Sunday school and directed the choir. He directed and played French horn in the Norway City Band for 10 years and participated in the Dickinson County Band. McBroom was an active part of the Dickinson County Fair and the UP State Fair for over 15 years and worked on the livestock advisory committee. A life-long dairy farmer he also served as a substitute teacher for area school districts. He was an active member of Michigan Farm Bureau's State Policy Development Committee and Michigan Farm Bureau's State Young Farmer Committee. He was chairman for a live-stock advisory committee and milkhouse superintendent with the Upper Peninsula State Fair. He was a member of the Waucedah Township Zoning Board of Appeals.
