Biographical Sketch:
Of Scotch-Irish parentage. He was six months old when his parents removed to Barry county and he owns and has always occupied the farm on which they located. He was supervisor of Orangevilletownship ten years and county treasurer four years. He has engaged ectensively in the shipping of grain and live stock and feeding of hogs and sheep. He was also interested in manufacturing and banking, being a director of the Farmers Savings Bank of Richland.

Elected to the legislature of 1921-1922 and was re-elected November 7, 1922, by a vote of 3,521 to 2,406 for Albert T. Shepard.
