Biographical Sketch:
Son of Eli and Persis (Prouty) Mussey (or Muzzy). Came to Armada, MI or Romeo, MI in 1837. He was in business as a merchant, blacksmith, wagon maker, farming, a foundry and more. After 1845, he was a justice of the peace of Macomb Co.. he served as a trustee in Romeo in 1838. He was appointed a commissioneron the draft board by the War Department on July 9, 1861 and for the draft of February 1863. He was a deacon at the Congregational CHurch of Romeo.
