Biographical Sketch:
Of Irish and French ancestry. Son of James and Ellen J. (Foster) Catlin. In 1881, he moved with his parents to Le Roy township, Ingham County. He was elected president of the Webberville State Bank at their annual meeting in 1909. He was the vice president of the Farmers' Savings Bank of Webberville and was an employee of the federal land bank of St. Paul. Member of the Odd Fellows and Gleaners; Knights Templar, the Masons and the Williamston Kiwanis. Served as township treasurer 2 years , and was supervisor for 9 consecutive years.
