Biographical Sketch:
On July 25, 1917, he was appointed by President Wilson on the draft appeal board of district No. 2 for western Michigan and served to the end of the war. He was a director of schools for twenty-one years and served as township highway commissioner, member of board of review, justice of the peace and supervisor. He was a farmer and specializes in apple growing.
