Enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1917 at the age of 16 years and served 1 year in France with the A.E.F.; employed for 33 years by the Ford Motor Co. at the River Rouge Power House as a journeyman electrician; served as Democratic precinct delegate, divisional chairman of Upper 18th Ward and executive board member of the 16th Congressional District Democratic Organization. At the time of his death he was employed as a business representative for the Southeastern Michigan Beverage License Association. Member of Knights of Columbus, Catholic War Veterans, Holy Name Society, Veterans of Foreign Wars and a number of Democratic Clubs.
