Biographical Sketch:
Son of Henry H. and Elizabeth H. Harnly. Taught in the public schools and a small college. For 2 years, he was editor of a weekly and daily newspaper. 4 years were spent on a farm. He was superintendent of the Anti-Saloon League for 1 year and Chautauqua and lyceum lecturer for 6 years. For over 21 years, he was a minister and was, at one time, pastor of the Michigan Avenue Baptist Church of Saginaw. He was living in North Carolina in 1900; McLean Co., IL in 1910; New Tier, Cook Co., IL in 1920; Saganaw, MI in 1930 and in a retirement home in Penney Farms, FL in 1940.
