Biographical Sketch:
Was born in Michigan. He was employed for three years in a grocery store and later worked as a machinist for nearly twenty years. He was superintendent of the Michigan free employment bureau at Grand Rapids for a little over two years and operated a licensed employment bureau. He was elected alderman of the fourth ward of Grand Rapids in 1906 and served for ten years.
