Biographical Sketch:
Of English and Irish ancestry. Son of Malcolm and Ruth Antoinette (Minor) Fitch. With the exception of a few years spent in Dakota, Texas and California, he lived all his life in Michigan. In 1901, at age 22, he was admitted to practice in the U.S. Circuit Court and in the U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids. In 1912, he was appointed by the national government white slave officer for the Ludington district. He served 8 years as city justice of Ludington and 2 years as prosecuting attorney of Mason County, 1923/24.
