Biographical Sketch:
Son of Benjamin and Nancy (Bayer?) Hartzog. He was a pastor in Columbus and Cleveland Ohio, churches for 20 years and in Tecumseh, MI; 10 years and in Mason, MI, 8 years. He authored "Ancient Masters and Jesus". This book won him the degree of Ph. D. from Central University, Indianapolis, IN, in 1905. He lectured extensively on religious and literary subjects over Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Michigan.
