Son of Isaac and Maria or Almira Eaton. Moved to Massachusetts in 1845. He was overseer for a cottin mill for 7 years and superintendent of Dr. J.C. Ayer & Co.'s patent medicine manufactury for 7 years. He moved to Casco, Allegan Co., MI in 1858. He served as superintendent of schools for several years and town supervisor for 12 years.
