Biographical Sketch:
Son of James and Margaret (Peddie) Walters. After graduating high school joined the army and was stationed at Ann Arbor. After leaving the army, he started to work in the factory of the Cadillac Motor Co. One and one-half years later he was placed in charge of the compensation department. After graduating college, he was made legal advisor of the Cadillac Motor Co. He was a secretary and general counsel for the S.S. Kresge Co. and the director of the American Retail Federation; the Michigan Retail Association; and the Ohio State Retail Council He served as director [1954-] and president of the Automobile Club of Michigan, 1964-65; national vice president, 1966-67. He served on several other boards. Member of the Michigan Bar Association..
