Biographical Sketch:
Son of Benjamin L. and Ardelia B. (Knight) Gibbs. Came to Grand Traverse Co., MI, 1873 or 1876 and joined his brother in a sawmill operation. They manufactured & sold lumber. He also operated a mercantile. He served as township clerk, superintendent of schools, post master, county clerk, reister of deeds and supervisor.

Notable Facts:
His death certificate says he was born in New York. Died of apoplexy complicated by meningitis.
