He moved with his parents to Seneca Co., OH, in 1836. In 1853 he removed to Michigan and purchased and cleared a farm 4 miles north of Berlin, Ottawa Co. He served as justice of the peace for 15 years, and was Supervisor of his town 4 years, He engaged in settling estates of deceased persons.
