Biographical Sketch:
After 1850 he was largely engaged as a contractor on railroads , canals, etc. After 1866 he was the head of a large lumber firm at Cheboygan.
He resided for several years in Wayne County, NY, and then was a resident of Rochester, NY,1860-1870; and of Chicago, IL 1870-1873. He settled at Cheboygan, MI, in 1873.
