Son of G. & Helen (Armsden) Karcher. Of German descent. Educated in St. John's, MI. Moved to Rose City, MI to pursue his teaching career; became superintendent of schools for 12 years. Operated a drug store and drug business in Twining, MI. Bought and sold real estate. Elected probate judge of Ogemaw Co., 1905. He was a member of theboard of school examiners for over 18 years.
Notable Facts:
Member of the Knights of Pythia; the Elks; Maccabees; Life Guards and Modern Brotherhood. According to Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 16, 1939 Senate Journal, p. 376 he died.
