Biographical Sketch:
Son of Christian and Jane Anna (Esmond) Sackrider. In 1867, he moved to Mason, and engaged in the furniture and lumber trade; he held the offices of township clerk and under-sheriff. He moved to Oakley, Saginaw County, September, 1871, and engaged in lumbering, farming and general merchandising. He has held the office of supervisor of Brady. In 1891, he moved to Owosso and was elected sheriff; moved to Roscommon and served several terms as supervisor.
