Enlisted in the Navy on 7/1/1943 in Pacific as LST captain and mustered out 7/10/1946; executive with St. Joseph Division of Whirlpool; delegate to Constitutional Convention, 1961-62; trustee of Memorial Hospital; treasurer, St. Joseph Harbor Authority; member of First Congregational Church; Twin Cities Rotary Club; Michigan United Fund, vice president and Chamber of Commerce; Alpha Delta Phi. Died of heart disease.
