Darius Pierce was born Sept. 2, 1801, at Farmington, N. Y. He came to Michigan in 1832, and was a farmer of the town of Lima. He was justice of the peace four years, county commissioner, and ten years a supervisor. He voted to remove the capital from Detroit to Lansing.
