1938-1943 he held the position of special attorney in the Department of Justice. Served in MI senate 1949-56 and as Michigan Circuit judge in the 37th circuit 1960-78. SCR 757, 1991 Senate Journal, p. 2132, indicated that he had died. No date or place of death. Acccording to the Social Security Index he died 9/8/1992. His last residence was Gainesville, Florida.
