Biographical Sketch:
He came to Michigan with his parents, Jacob and Julia (Griffiths) Teeple, in 1859, settling on a farm in Hamburg Township, Livingston Co. In spring 1860, they moved to Pinckney. He worked at the tinner's trade for 2 years before becoming a clerk for W.S. Mann in March, 1867, remaining in that position until 1877. At that time he became the business manager for Mr. Mann's estate until April 1884, when he established the the Pinckney Exchange Bank. The bank was destroyed by fire in March, 1887 but was soon replaced. After 1884, he was primarily a banker. He held various local offices.
