Moved to E. Saginaw, MI, 1862 from New York. Lived in Saginaw Co. from 1862-78. Lived in Saint Clair Co. 1878-84 when he moved back to Saginaw. He worked for the York & Erie Railroad Co. on the Susquehanna div., Superintendent of Bundy & Youmans lumbering business; engaged in the manufacture of lumber & salt 1863-78. He served as alderman, school inspector, president of the Board of Education and mayor of East Saginaw , 1886-88.
