Biographical Sketch:
Son of George (or John) and Lydia (Kroll) Bedtelyon. He moved to Atlas, Genesee County, MI with his parents in 1854. He enlisted as a private in Co. K, 4th Michigan Cavalry Co. K in 1861; commissioned as captain and compelled to resign due to ill health in January 1865. He served in several local offices, including supervisor. He was a patient in the Eastern Michigan Asylum at the time of his death.
