He attended the Fobey district school through the eighth grade, then entered the Greenville high school and later the Bliss business college at Greenville.

Biographical Sketch:
Served as a member of the school board. He has always lived on the farm where he was born. At the death of his father he came into possession of a 210 acre farm which he specializes in commercial potatoes. As of 1953, owned three farms specializing in commercial potato growing & general farming.

Notable Facts:
Elected to House 1929 and 1931. Elected to Senate 1950. Elected to the legislature November 6, 1928, by a vote of 7,757 to 1,473 for Glenn E. Wood, and re-elected in 1930. Died in 1970.
