Biographical Sketch:
Son of Mitch and Cynthia (Williams) Irwin. He served as a Washtenaw County Commissioner from 1999-2010. He was named “Best Young Government Leader of the Year” in 2000 by the Michigan Jaycees, “Best Elected Official” in 2007 by the Workforce Development Board and was a founding member of Partners For Transit, which is committed to providing county-wide public transit to Washtenaw County residents. He also worked for the League of Conservation Voters Education Fund and for then-State Senator Alma Wheeler Smith. He was the executive director for the Michigan League of Conservation Voters.
