Biographical Sketch:
Of Scottish parentage. Son of James and Margaret (McComb) Biggerstaff. He served an apprenticeship as a builder in St. Cloud. He worked as a contractor until 1913, then general insurance business. Elected to Kalamazoo city council in 1904 and served one term. The following year, he was elected President and appointed chairman of finance. At the time of his death, he was superintendent of construction at Kalamazoo State Hospital. Member of the Knights Templar
