Biographical Sketch:
Of French descent. Moved to Battle Creek, 1854 with his parents, John M. and Vitlie M. (Dion) Daigneau, at age 2. The family moved to Quebec for a time before coming back to Michigan. Lived in Hillsdale from about 1874-1880 then returned to Battle Creek until 1991 when he moved to Benton Harbor. Operated a laundry, later incorporated as Daigneau Laundry, in Benton Harbor, in 1903. He served as an alderman of Benton Harbor, a city supervisor and on the Board of Public Works. In 1920 and 1930, he was living in St. Petersburg, Pinellas Co., FL
