Son of Alexander and Elizabeth (or Eunice [Wrightman]) Bonser. In 1861 he was living in London, ON with his parents. He emigrated to the US in 1884.(MIBiog states he moved to Detroit when he was 18 years old.) His newspaper work included compositer of the Bay City Tribune and publisher of the Pinconning Press.
