Biographical Sketch:
Son of Edgar & Estella Bassett. Served as principal of the Thomas A. Edison School, Royal Oak, as associate municipal judge, assistant prosecuting attorney and friend of the court in Jackson; attorney. Member of the Masons, Elks, American Legion, Cascades Veteran's Club, Jackson County Veterans' Council, Michigan Consolidated Veterans' Council, Delta Theta Phi, American Bar Association, American Judicature Society and Jackson County Sportsman's Club. After he left the Legislature he served as assistant clerk of the House of Representatives.

Notable Facts:
AKA Wilfred George Bassett Elected to the House of Representatives in 1950 and to each succeeding session of the Legislature. HCR 665, 1986 House Journal, p. 267, indicated that he had died. No date or place of death. Prior record indicated that he had died in Tampa, Florida on 2/5/1986.
