Son of Eneas and Catherine (Cook) Beecher. He came to Michigan in May, 1836 and settled on a farm in the town of Genesee, Genesee County where he lived until 1954 when he moved to Flint. Postmaster 17 years; 9 successive years as Supervisor; 2 years County Commissioner and Associate County Judge.
