Biographical Sketch:
Son of Lester R. and Louisa (Kent) Miller. He taught school for 2 winters. He went to South Dakota in 1882, where he filed a claim on 480 acres of government land. While there, he held several township offices and was senator for 1 term. [In 1900 he was living in Claremont Village in Brown Co., SD]. He returned to Michigan in 1905 and settled on a farm near Greenville. He was first elected supervisor in 1907, serving as chairman twice and represented the county on the state board of equalization in 1911 and 1914. Served on the Montcalm County Poor Commission. He owned farms in both Michigan and South Dakota.
