Biographical Sketch:
Of Scotch and Dutch parentage. Son of Lafayette F. and Cynthia A. Reed. Always resided in Michigan. Raised stock and general farming. He served 5 years as supervisor of Spring Arbor township and in 1913 was elected chairman of the board. In December, 1914, he was elected first vice-president of the Michigan State Association of Farmers' Clubs and he was president of the Jackson County Farmers' Club.
