Biographical Sketch:
Of English & Dutch descent. Son of Reuben B. and Chloe (Fish) WhiteEldest of 3 children. Rejected by Michigan Corps of Engineers & Mechanics, 1861, due to brochial difficulties. Enlisted as a pvt. in Co. A, 28th Michigan Infantry; served until 6/1866; discharged as a Capt. Provost Marshall in NC, 1865-66. Studied law after discharge; grad. & admitted to the bar, 1867. Lived in Ludington where he held several local offices over time. He was judge of the 19th Circuit Court in 1873 and 1874.

Notable Facts:
Elected circuit judge of the 19th district, 1873. May have died 10/3/1914 in St. Louis, Minnesota.
