Biographical Sketch:
He first came to Michigan in 1848, moving to Tuscola County in 1864, where he practiced medicine. In March, 1882, he associated himself with Dr. Thomas Allen Cullis. Dr. Davis served as town clerk of Vassar, 1872-74, health officer school inspector and village trustee. In politics he was a Fusionist, backed by the Democaratic and Greenback parties.

Notable Facts:
Exact date of birth not known. Having been in the south at the outbreak of the rebellion, he was conscripted into the confederate army, but soon made his escape and took the oath of allegiance to the United States.
