Biographical Sketch:
Dutch and English parents. Son of Henry and Hannah (Ward) Vandenboom. He lived on the same farm all of his life [to his election]. He served continuously as secretary of the Marquette Township Board of Education 43 years. In 1948 he resigned because of ill health. He served 14 years as a member of the Marquette County Board of Supervisors and was a member of the original Marquette Commercial Club. He also was an active worker in the Upper Peninsula Development Bureau. Member of the Knights of Columbus.
