Son of William and Azabia [or Azubah] Tillson. He moved to Mt. Clemens, MI, in 1833, where he practiced medicine for 10 years before moving to Romeo. He practiced there until his death. Became the first president of the Northeast District Medical Society in 1854. Appointed Romeo postmaster in 1858. Member of the Odd Fellows
