Biographical Sketch:
He served as township clerk in 1839 and helped form the Board of School Inspectors that year. He also served as township attorney. He moved from Mount Clemens o Detroit in 1855 and practiced law there until 1861He had a law practice in Detroit when he became involved in the militia. He was prosecuting attorney for Wayne Co. He organized the 5th Michigan Infantry in 1861. Resigned from active service in February 1865. After the war he practiced law in Washington. D.C. until his death Member of the Masons
