Biographical Sketch:
He came to Michigan from Indiana in 1834, and settled on the present site of Buchanan, Mich., where he resided until his death in 1888. He became a banker in 1864. He served as President of the village of Buchanan in 1859, 1861-2-3, and 1879 and was a member of the common council. Democrat. He was the first Postmaster from 1848 to 1852.
