Biographical Sketch:
He was a native of New York. He was admitted to the bar in Oakland County, Michigan, in March of 1842. Previously he was a mason by trade. Residing in Pontiac, he served as State Senator in 1848-1849. He relocated to Tennessee due to health problems and then on to California in the early 1850s.. He continued to practice law in the San Francisco area until at least 1880.
