Biographical Sketch:
He was a small-business owner and served as Cannon Township supervisor, as a trustee and as a Cannon Township planning commissioner. He enjoyed golf, running, fishing, hiking, hunting and watching their boys' many sporting activities. The family attended Rockford United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Rockford Lions, serving as the club's president from 2007-08. In 2007, he helped found the Volley for Mitchell Charity 4-on-4 volleyball tournament to raise funds for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research and served as one of its 3 co-directors.
