Biographical Sketch:
Son of Alfred and Kate (Lockwood) Baxter. During the years 1910 and 1911, he was district engineer for the New York Telephone Co. and in 1912 became associated with the Baxter Laundry Co. of Grand Rapids, and was made its president and manager 6 years later. He was the owner of Radio Station, WASH, in Grand Rapids. During WWI, he was a pilot in the air service. Was director and officer of the Y.M.C.A. He was post commander of the American Legion.
