Biographical Sketch:
Of Scots-English parentage. Deputy county clerk for Ottawa Co., for 10 yrs; later elected as clerk; alderman for Grand Haven; justice of the peace member of the township board, treasurer of the board of education and under sheriff. In 1911, he organized the Hudsonville State Bank and acted as its cashier for several yrs.
