Of Scots-English parentage. Son of William H. and Lucy Ann (Barber) McEachron. He was deputy county clerk for Ottawa Co., for 10 yrs; later elected as clerk; alderman for Grand Haven; justice of the peace; member of the township board; treasurer of the board of education; and under sheriff. In 1911, he organized the Hudsonville State Bank and acted as its cashier for several yrs. Member of the Masons and the Woodman.

Died of acute endocarditis.
