Biographical Sketch:
Member and deacon of Juniata Baptist Church. He was a tool and die maker for General Motors for 30 years, and a family farm owner and operator for 17 years. He was the owner of Green Log Rails and Custom Log Furniture from 2003-2011. Member of the State Commission on Aging from 1991-92, appointed by Governor Engler. He was the former aide to Senator Joel Gougeon, and a board member of the Tuscola County Cooperative Extension. He was the chairman of the Tuscola County Health Department, and a board member of the Tuscola County Community Mental Health and the Michigan Coalition for Responsible Gun Owners. He was a member of the Michigan Farm Bureau, Tuscola County Farm Bureau, Gideon's International, National Rifle Association, Rocky Mounty Elk Foundation, and Ducks Unlimited. He served as Tuscola County Commissioner for 8 years, and was the co-chairman of the Michigan Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus. He was a member of the National Assembly of Sportsmen's Caucuses Executive Council, and chairman of the Senate Second Amendment Caucus.
