Served in the Spanish-American war as a member of the 33rd Michigan volunteer infantry, company B, enlisting 4/26/1898; discharged 12/28/1898. Admitted to the bar 6/17/1907. He served as treasurer of Alpena County [4 years] and as circuit court commissioner. He was living in South Dakota in 1918 and in Idaho in 1930.
